I live on my soups from scratch in the cold weather. I pretty much alternate between a mushroom barley with a chicken base (Jewish penicillin), and my famous chili. I won't bore you with the receipes, but you can write me if you're interested.

I usually keep some cans of soup on hand in types that I don't usually make like clam chowder, but there is nothing like homemade soup. I never get tired of it.
